Google Calendar, Myoffice on facebook, ZOHO Project and Yugma
Google Calendar is similar to desktop calendar application like Microsoft outlook. We can create Google Calendar using gmail account. In the calendar we can include daily, weekly and monthly schedule and can share with other friends and compare the schedule. These features can contribute a lot to manage time while doing group project.
My office on face book can be used to create and manage the project. We can join my office through my project link. It is useful for discussing regarding group project.It is a collaboration tools. Even we can search the project created by other people.
ZOHO Project is project management tool. It is very helpful to get information of every task we did in the project. We can list a number of tasks and milestones to do in order to complete the project. In the same way we can upload a new document or spreadsheet in a particular project. It also contain timesheet and a reports tool.
Yugma is also a web collaboration tools for everyone. It is good share ideas with each other. It has impressive features like Desktop Sharing & Collaboration, Skype Integration, Free Teleconferencing Shared File Space and Presentation Tools. By means of desktop sharing, you can share your computer screen in real-time so that everyone sees what you see – regardless of the application, software or operating system you are using. The Yugma Skype edition is a skype extra that builds upon skype’s offering by adding real time collaboration and desktop sharing functionality. Teleconferencing service is a convenient way to facilitate voice communication. The 100 MB of web storage space to post files so that you can easily share project or team documents that can be downloaded by clients or colleagues at any time is provided by yugma. Also The powerful whiteboard feature that allows you to instantly and interactively brainstorm during a Yugma session. Yugma also has annotation tools allow you to draw lines, shapes, and freehand in order to highlight what you are presenting to others. We can save our whiteboard diagrams and annotations in standard JPEG format for later use.We can upload up to 200MB of recorded sessions to the Yugma website.
I signed up for Yugma. I check some of the feature. I think it is useful as they claim. I need to play around more features. I can say it is very good project management tool.
